Blazer: DIESEL. Shirt & Shorts: H&M. Shoes: ZARA. Belt: PRADA. Glasses: DOLCE & GABBANA

The city is lacking warm sunny weather at the moment but that sure did not stop me from bearing some legs to Style Republic Magazine's more than glamorous, Summer Soiree. The bash, held at Glowbal Collection’s plush spot, Society, was a perfect celebration in honor of the much anticipated movie release of Sex & the City 2.

I stuffed my face like a starving malnourished child from Malawi with just about every decadent treat that was presented in my face. Sipped on delicious bright fuchsia colored cocktails that could make any red-neck man stray away from. And mingled through the city’s most beautiful trendy crowd all while classic episodes of Sex & the City played on huge flat screens.

The soiree was nothing short of fabulous and with the release of Sex & the City 2, this summer is already starting to look quite swank.

Wonderful official photos of the soiree courtesy of Style Republic Magazine.

7 day ring”, said to symbolize the 7 days of the week you are loved by from the person who gives you the ring. The ring also represents 7 life values: Life, love, longevity, friendship, health, wealth & happiness. The Margiela ring pictured above isn’t exactly what you would consider a traditional 7 day ring but I still like it. . .a lot actually.

So, has anyone been fortunate enough to be gifted a lucky 7-day ring?

NOPE, not me and with my burden of constant misfortune, I’m not going to receive one in my lifetime. So f**k it. I’ll buy my own. Because as my all time favorite quote from American beauty, Bo Derek goes, “Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.”

Big Fat Riding Hood from the City

Hooded shirt & Belt: DIESEL BLACK GOLD. Jeans: DSQUARED2. Boots: DOC MARTENS.
Bag: ALEXANDER WANG.

This finely tailored shirt is one of a few the only shirt/sweaters I own with a hood that I am willing to sport out in public. I do own a zippered hoodie or two—A Christian Lacroix one for that fact of a matter—NOT Audigier but Lacroix, which I ONLY sport out when heading to the gym, Bikrams or to some fast food joint for my occasional "rare" late night high-calorie fix.

Personally, a hood on any kind of garment is impractical for me. It’s basically just there for aesthetics. Whether it’s pouring rain or blistering cold, I don’t bother with it because I don’t want to mess up my hair. . . Yesss! I know. . . I’m shallow and egotistical. WHATEVER. And pigs fly. Get the f**k over it.

The white collared dress shirt is the most understated but most needed basic necessity in any man’s wardrobe. Either worn with a suit and tie for handsomely dapper look or worn simply with crisp denim jeans for a casual look that could possibly do no wrong.

Also, don’t be afraid to accessorize especially with a fancy watch, belt, nice polished shoes, etc. because the last thing you would ever want to happen is to be mistaken for a dining server rather than a paying patron. Unless your like me who is obnoxiously decked with every designer label from under the sun, then its not very likely to be mistaken for a server and if I were to be, then I better start batting my lashes and undo a few shirt buttons if I want that generous cash tip!

Toronto: Where it captured my heart but ate away at my bank account

My trip to the historically beautiful city of Toronto this past week has definitely opened my eyes to something refreshing. 90% of men in a bar wore business suits, high heels were considered 'casual' attire and obnoxiously flashy Ed Hardy & they're spawn of look-a-likes were rarely ever seen in this city. My lord, even shopping at The Hudson’s Bay Company in Downtown Toronto was totally the ‘IT’ thing to do especially when they’re carrying ultra fine labels like Balmain, Proenza Schouler and John Galliano.

Fashion aside, I truly enjoyed my trip and I am greatly thankful for the friends who took time out to show me the city. Toronto has definitely left a positively-firm impression on me to the point of myself picturing already living there... But until then, Vancouver will always be called my home.
