Starving Stylist Essentials for 2010

“The time to relax is when you don't have time for it.”

I have concluded that 2009 was a fabulously SHIT-tastic sort of year filled with nothing but hurtful heartache/break, mental break-downs, drunken club scraps and major BITCH fits. I’m basically surprised that I have yet to change my name from the Starving Stylist to the SCORNFUL Stylist. Therefore, my 2010 New Year’s resolution is to basically relax and to NOT sweat the small stuff. So to help me get started, this is MY Top 5 Essentials which will assist me through 2010.

1) Mighty Leaf Brand Green Tea Tropical Tea: Not much of a coffee drinker that I am, green tea is the next best thing for my daily dose of caffeine. Besides from being a great antioxidant it’s also helpful in weight-loss management . . . so need I say more, Fatty?

2) Shu Uemura Deep Sea Water Facial Mist: Besides a double vodka on the rocks, this spray is the next best thing to help get you little refreshed and revived when life is feeling a little dull. It’s great for instant hydration and invigoration of the spirit and skin; I like to call this my "liquid cocaine".

3) A luxurious presidential bath robe: Definitely warmer and plusher to lounge around in
than a stupid Snuggie blanket. Perfect for comfortable nights in, solemnly watching sappy chick flicks and feeling pitiful for the possibility of dying alone and single. Also, don’t worry about feeling like a fat ass, it only comes in one size. One point for the ego!

4) Moleskine Notebook: Journaling, doodling, writing wish lists or even plotting your next REVENGE, these classy and lavish books are perfect for little life’s thoughts that are too TABOO to mention out loud.

5) Kiehl's Lip Balm #1: With feisty words spitting out of ones mouth, one needs to have lips perfectly treated at all times since lip reading could sometimes be a lot more powerful than words itself.

So, what's your necessary essential for the New Year?

Great picks for 2010! Green tea tropical is one of my favourite teas. Moleskines are the way to go. and I'll def have to try that Shu Uemera facial mist. I'm currently using this rose water one by M.A.C. but change is always good.

Sure you´ll get all of this for the next year :)
I´m in love with Moleskine Notebooks, I always carry mine with me!

That is just what I need in my life. Though in order to possess such essentials I need to feed my bank account instead of starve it, which has been the theme of 2009. Goodbye anorexic bank account. I want my bank balance to be a huge FATTY ! But it's true with the don't stress it advice. If people who just murdered or committed some felony are cooler than a cucumber going about their daily lives, why shouldn't I be relaxed as well...hhmmm? What's unpaid rent when Joe Blow next door just killed a couple of people over the holidays? hahaha ;-)

Great blog :)

Kiehls is heaven!!! xoxo
I need another handy notebook to tote around as well...being a designer, you never know what might inspire you...technology just doesn't make the cut for me...

Sorry to hear you didn't have a great year :( Hope 2010 brings you everything you want. A nice fluffy bathrobe is what I'll be wearing on Christmas eve. Btw, love those shoes you got on the last post!!

Your essentials list looks like one of an ill person's. This makes me sad. You need to at least drink your tea and mist your face with a nice bracelet.

I can't live without green tea! Other essentials include weekly manicures and my iPhone: I feel like half a person without those.

Happy New Year! :)

Hi loverly.
You are too sweet. I wish you the best of luck in 2010. Hopefully you don't become the scornful stylist, b/c that will give you wrinkles--and c'mon no one wants that! I love moleskin journals too. They are my secret indulgence. They come in super bright colors too! I recently bought a bunch of random green neon ones. HOTNESS.
Hopefully we'll be able to meet in the flesh one o' these days :)
Resolution #1: meet scornful/starving stylist!!!!!

Moleskins are a DEFINITE must, I don't leave the house without it. Happy Holidays!

Wow, I absolutely ADORE your blog. Hilarious - and, of course, mucho-stylish, posts. :)

I do have to disagree with you on one thing, though. Snuggies are the most fucking comfortable blankets. EVER. (Even though they aren't exactly the greatest-looking. They also come in only one size, haha.) :)

Hi dude! And yeah its weird because right before I checked the comment that you left me I had just finished watching 'Coco Before Chanel' lol I just find it funny that we both had the movie in mind. I guess that we both channeled our inner Chanel's lol. Our love for fashion is the link to our friendship.

Yes, you definitely need a long coat for the exposed wrists and ankles in the cold. But I don't think you need big pecs - boyish is cute, isn't it? Sabine x

I'm already a fan of three of those items- LOVE Mighty Leaf green tropical tea, have used Kiehl's lipbalm for years, and can't live without my Moleskin journals!

Cheers to good taste ;) Happy New Year!

Keep posting stuff like this i really like it.

I love the meavage. It only really works when you're a little less busty...I find it cheesy when a guy with huge moobs parades around in a low cut tee. Were you seasonal at HR? My gf works there (but in the back) and I was kinda thinking of applying to be a p/t back room hand to pay the bills.
